Experience the magic of Christmas in Kingston from 14th November 2024 to 5th January 2025. Kingston First, the town’s Business Improvement District, has organised a wide range of family activities and festive entertainment in Kingston town centre this Christmas.

- Gift stalls in the Christmas Market will be open 14 November 2024 - 31 December 2024
- The bar and stage in the Christmas Market will be operating from 14 November - 5 January 2025
- The Nutcracker Trail will start on 14 November 2024 - 5 January 2025
- The interactive Arts and crafts stall will be open on Saturday’s, 2-4pm, from 16 November 2024 - 21 December 2024
Christmas Market, bar and stage
Visitors will have the chance to be merry with the comeback of the popular Christmas Market, packed with stalls offering handcrafted presents, artisan food, and one-of-a-kind items. The festive stage is also back this year with live music and performances, including open mic nights, along with the bar serving mulled wine, cider, and hot chocolate - perfect for warming up after a day of festive fun.
Nutcracker Trail
This year, there will be a brand new addition, a festive Nutcracker Trail, with 15 life-sized Nutcracker statues hidden around the town centre. This trail will be perfect for families looking for something free and fun to do over the Christmas holidays – plus, the first 300 people to complete the trail will receive an exclusive wooden tree decoration, and at the end of the trail, one lucky participant will be selected to win a hamper filled with treats from local businesses. Collect trail guide booklets from Waterstones, Rose Theatre or Cass Art to begin your adventure.

Arts and Crafts Stall
Also new this year, there will be a free interactive crafts stall, where friends and families can show off their artistic side during the festive season by making their own Christmas creations, such as mini wreaths, Christmas cards, magical decorations, and more! The crafts stall will be based in the Ancient Market Place and open to the public by walk-in every Saturday between 2-4pm, from 16 November 2024 - 21 December 2024.
Christmas Lights
Capture special moments at the new light-up ‘KINGSTON’ sign located in Memorial Square. This larger-than-life and one-of-a-kind light installation is perfect for photo opportunities to add to visitors' unique Christmas experience in Kingston, alongside the return of Kingston’s bespoke Christmas lighting, walk through present installation, and the magnificent giant twinkling reindeer.

Retail and Hospitality
On top of all this, the unique retail and hospitality offer makes Kingston the perfect place to enjoy Christmas, with close to 300 shops and a fantastic selection of pubs, bars and restaurants, alongside entertainment venues such as cinemas, theatre and escape rooms.
