There's no way you could complete the Christmas period without at least one visit to Santa.
There's no greater pleasure than seeing how excited the little ones get, which adds to the magic of Christmas. So, keep your kids believing this year by introducing them to Santa himself. Here are the best grottos:
1. Christmas at Bocketts Farm

Enjoy the festivities this year and meet Father Christmas in his traditional workshop. Once there, you'll be greeted by one of the head elves and will begin a magical journey.
All aboard the Santa Express! Hop on the train and travel to the magical workshop, where you and your friends can gather for some more festive fun with the elves.
Head to the brand new Bear Workshop to build your own bear! Then, you'll meet Father Christmas himself, who will gift you with one of his special golden coins, which you will be able to spend in his toy shop.
Prebooking is essential! Two adults max to accompany each child into the workshop. The Santa Express is for children only. Please allow 45 minutes for your visit with Santa.
2. Father Christmas or Mrs Claus at Hatchlands Park

Get ready to meet Father Christmas and Mrs Claus this year who are visiting Hatchlands once again this festive season.
Find them all cosy in their festive room located in the courtyard, say hello to Santa and let him know what you want for Christmas and receive a small gift!
Everyone is welcome to visit. However, the experience has been best described for children aged between 2-8.
3. The Magic of Christmas at Chobham Adventure Farm

Come and experience real festive magic this year at Chobham Adventure Farm where you’ll meet Santa’s elves and become a true Elf Helper!
Meet Mrs Claus in her kitchen, learn elf magic in elf lessons, help the elves with their important elfie tasks, and create your very own bear. All before meeting the friendly reindeer and the big man himself: Santa!
Tickets include the Magic of Christmas and entrance to the Farm Park and indoor play area so you can let off steam before seeing Santa.
4. Santa Cruise on the River Wey

Santa is coming to see Guildford from the river this season. Join him on the smooth, festive family cruise down the River Wey.
The cruise departs Millmead Island and will be 45 minutes long. Expect stories and presents from Santa himself and enjoy some mince pies and mulled wine as you go.
All profits and proceeds raised will support the work of enabling local people to overcome the disadvantage of low skills, poor educational achievement, limited opportunities and tough financial circumstances.
5. Santa's Christmas Wonderland at Chessington Garden Centre

Take a special journey through Santa’s Christmas Wonderland! Start in the craft workshop where you can help the elves and then continue through the life-size gingerbread house.
As visitors exit the gingerbread house, they're ushered to an enchanting Christmas train station. Here, they board a magical train that promises to whisk them away to a snow-covered Christmas town.
Journey on through the Wonderland where there will be plenty of opportunities to take photos before you enter the heart of Santa's Workshop and finally meet Father Christmas!
6. Santa's Grotto
📍 Squire's Garden Centre Stoke Rd, Surrey

Santa’s Grotto is open every Saturday and Sunday from mid-November, as well as Christmas Eve and the week leading up to Christmas at many centres. See website for details of opening times. There’s no need to book, simply turn up on the day but don’t come between 12:30 - 2 pm as Santa will be having a nap.
7. Visit Father Christmas at Godstone Farm
📍 Tilburstow Hill Road, Godstone

Christmas at Godstone Farm is magical, with three Father Christmas visit experiences to choose from! You’ll enjoy a jolly journey to meet Father Christmas with festive activities along the way, including the magical wish room.
Once you’ve enjoyed your wonderful exclusive visit to Father Christmas in his cosy grotto, your child will get to choose their own toy to take home from the special Christmas gift shop!
