Puppet Theatre Barge

Although it spends most of the year in Little Venice, between mid-July and mid-October you can find the barge in Richmond. Mary Wallace Theatre
The Embankment (off Church Street) Twickenham, Surrey, TW1 3DUFormally opened by Prince Charles in 1981, the Mary Wallace is home to the Richmond Shakespeare Society, who perform eight annual shows (including at least one Shakespeare). When they’re not producing their Open Air Shakespeare, they also hold informal Monday night performances of plays, poetry and music. While their focus may be Shakespearean, their equipment is anything but - recent renovations mean the theatre is now decked out with state-of-the-art lighting and sound control.

The Exchange
This venue was only built in 2017, but once fully up and running, the Exchange plan to have 3-4 ticketed events for the public per week, including talks, poetry events, film and theatre. The auditorium itself has a 300 person capacity, with a bar and a cafe for before and after performances.

Richmond Theatre
Richmond Theatre has a long and complex history, with a number of theatres having occupied where the new performance space now stands. Designed by Frank Matcham, the architect behind such theatre spaces as the Hippodrome, Hackney Empire and Victoria Palace, it is a Grade II listed building that runs shows 49 weeks of the year. Its beautiful interior and exterior has been used as a set for a number of films and TV programmes, including National Treasure: Book of Secrets and Jonathan Creek.

Hampton Hill Theatre
Opened in 1998, Hampton Hill Theatre has two performance spaces, a main 197-seat auditorium, and a smaller, 50-seat space for more intimate performances. The theatre acts as home to the Teddington Theatre Club, who present ten shows a year from a range of amateur and professional performers.
