Kingston celebrates having the largest Korean community in all of Europe from July 30 – August 8 with Kingston Welcomes Korea, an amazing programme of cultural shows
For something a bit different this month head down to the Rose Theatre in Kingston and discover a programme of dazzling events with Kingston Welcomes Korea. This cultural celebration is in honour of the largest Korean community in all of Europe - 10% of Kingston's population!
Highlights include Alice in Wonderland – a contemporary dance tribute to Lewis Carroll’s classic children’s book using eye-opening projection effects and lyrical dancing, and also Brush - a multiple-award-winning inventive family show, where paintings are created and brought to life on stage using incredible physical comedy and puppetry.
Also not to be missed is The Perfordian Factory – Ongals - having received five-star accolades from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival the show consists of comedy mime, juggling, beatboxing and acrobatics, in a non-stop performance of sustained slapstick: no words, just laughter!
Kingston Welcomes Korea runs from July 30 – August 8.
