Our independent review:
- Mainstream independent day school for girls aged 11-18
Strongly academic school with results to match: in 2019, 77% of A level grades were A*-A and 97% of GCSE grades were 9-7. All girls study Latin for three years and take three separate science subjects. Students also excel in music, drama and sport.
Throw in a wide range of clubs and other extra-curricular activities, and the result is that the girls are occupied throughout the day. Yearly exams are always held before the half-term holidays, so girls get a well-deserved break. Entrance at 11 is highly competitive, with a few ad hoc places up for grabs in other year levels.
Around 20% each year go on to Oxbridge, with the rest securing places at Durham, Warwick and other top universities.
