Welcome to the website of Cobham Avorians Cricket Club. Nestling in the woods on the Burhill Estate, opposite the Notre Dame School, Cobham Avorians is a truly exceptional setting which has inspired both great cricketers and firm friendships for generations.
Avorians has a long history of being a club that plays cricket the way it should be played, and stopping for a drink and a chat with the opposition and umpires after the game ...and we firmly believe that if more clubs shared that attitude, club cricket would be the better for it!
On Saturdays, Cobham Avorians CC has two Saturday teams competing in the Ryman Surrey Championship, and a Third XI playing friendly matches. In 2016 we plan to enter the Third XI into the Surrey County League. We also run a Social XI on Sundays and a, predominantly U21, Development Team in the South Thameside Sunday Cricket League. We also have a thriving Colts Academy with teams competing in the West Surrey Youth Cricket League and many "home-grown" ECB Level 2 qualified coaches.
Off the pitch, as well as a full and varied Social Calendar, the last few years have also seen a major refurbishment of the Clubhouse, including a new fitted Kitchen; the installation of 2 new net lanes; the erection of an electronic scoreboard; a new perimeter fence and the installation of a new patio (The Tony "Chums" Longman Terrace!).
In addition, the Club has achieved ClubMark accreditation from the ECB and is a Focus Club for Surrey CCC.
