Brooklands Community Park provides residents and other visitors with 60-acres of country park and a riverside walkway. It is part of an agreement between the Council and Mercedes-Benz World who are located just next to the park.
The Park is situated within the historic Brooklands site, the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation. There are sections of the former Brooklands motor racing circuit located adjacent to and accessible from the Park. On site heritage boards give further information on the history and layout of the area.
Open grassland and woodlands areas add to the nature conservation potential and interest of the site. Brooklands Community Park has been identified as SANG (Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace) and received funding which was used to build a woodland walk and boardwalk to attract more visitors. Seating, picnic benches, a play area, skateboard park, BMX track and multi-court play area suitable for 5-aside football and basketball are all provided.
