Run by husband and wife Peter and Josephine, Barton’s Bookshop encourages you to browse at a very, very leisurely pace – with the free coffee, comfy sofa next to the fireplace and shelves stacked high with books, it’s like a room out of my dream home. The store offers a full calendar of children and adults’ events, from signings to story time and seasonal celebrations. Barton’s also has a book group, where members share their love for books.
