Sam Bailey visits the children of Guildford's Shooting Star Chase hospice
X Factor winner and Guilfest 2014 headline act Sam Bailey shows her support for Shooting Star Chase hospice on a recent visit
X Factor winner Sam Bailey took time to out of her busy schedule last week when she dropped in to meet families supported by Guildford's Shooting Star Chase children’s hospice.
Sam spent time chatting to families, saw the specialist facilities available at the centre and joined in an arts and crafts session with the children.
Sam, who had also performed at the charity’s Easter Tea hosted by Simon Cowell in April, said: “I think when you come to the hospice after being at one of the events it puts everything into perspective.
“I’m definitely going to go home and think about how things are different for each and every family and how hard and tough they have it. Some of the parents are so strong, I don’t know how they do it.
“There are amazing people who work at Shooting Star Chase and help the families, and the kids themselves are so resilient. I’m very proud to be a part of it.”
Shooting Star Chase is a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.
