St John’s Beaumont is a Roman Catholic Jesuit boarding and day preparatory school for boys aged 3 to 13.

The aim of Jesuit education is to encourage well-rounded young men who can develop the confidence and open-mindedness to make the most of every opportunity and challenge that life will offer to them.

It is important to us that boys demonstrate the same commitment to challenge as they do to areas that naturally inspire and interest them. 

The curriculum is broad and invites the boys to think about life from a wider perspective: one that piques their interest and challenges them to see relationships and circumstances from a more sensitive and intelligent perspective.

There is a great emphasis on the academic and pastoral development of the boys and as a result, the curriculum and teaching approach is planned very much with boys in mind. 

All boys study a rich variety of subjects within the curriculum and this is further supported by an excellent extra-curricular program for boys of all ages, including; rowing, rock climbing, philosophy, chef academy, golf and scuba diving.

Boys are prepared for entry to a wide range of day and boarding schools including some of the top independent schools in the country and have won many scholarships in recent years.

The first purpose-built prep school in England, the pretty Victorian building stands in 70 acres on the edge of Windsor Great Park.

It has a state-of-the-art sports hall and impressive ICT facilities endorsed by Microsoft awarding the school Beacon status. There are a dedicated science and art blocks, music school, concert hall and 25-metre indoor swimming pool. 

Games are played every day and the school particularly excels at rugby, cricket, tennis and swimming.

The school’s pool is also used by other schools and the local community.

Wireless technology is available in classrooms enabling access to individual tablets and there are interactive whiteboards in all classrooms.
