With the Easter holidays just around the corner, William Gadsby Peet explores what's on in Surrey over Easter to keep the kids entertained
It's that time of the year where we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with bunny rabbits and chocolate for some reason. With the kids home and all high on sugar it pays to have a few good ideas in the chamber to keep them out of mischief. Fortunately Surrey has a lot to offer when it comes to family fun. From tech camps and farm animals to easter egg hunts galore, these are some of the best activities on offer...

Run and gun
March – April
Nothing gets kids' bloody pumping quite like running around a field while firing paintballs/lasers at their friends. Youngsters (6+) that aren't yet old enough to go paintballing can still enjoy a pain and risk free spot of simulated warfare with Campaign's state-of-the-art Razorback ‘S’ Rifles and laser packs. More adventurous youths can get stuck in to the venue's special Mini Paintball, a specially tailored experience for children aged 8-10 that uses smaller guns and paintballs to minimize impact.
Finally, for adolescents: Campaign arranges regular age-group-specific paintballing days for ages 10-13 and 14-16. All of Campaign's laser and paintballing experiences take place on specially designed maps that are spread out across over 100 acres of woodland and include a Wild West town, WW1 trenches, 30ft Zombie tower and Jungle Zone – exhausted offspring guaranteed!
