As it approaches its 50th anniversary, Cranmore School in West Horsley has unveiled plans to become fully co-educational
Cranmore School is one of the leading prep schools in the area, and has long enjoyed success with its co-educational Bright Star Nursery. Still, it was only in September last year that it admitted girls of up to seven years-old into its Reception Years.
Now, however, Headmaster Michael Connolly has announced that the school will be becoming fully co-educational, in stages starting next year. The first group of girls will be invited to join Year 3 in September 2016, progressing through the school as normal until Year 8.
“We are making this announcement from a position of strength to reflect Cranmore's commitment to remain the prep school of choice in Guildford, Leatherhead, Woking and the surrounding areas", Mr. Connolly explained.
"We are confident there will be strong demand from discerning parents seeking a great co-educational school in Surrey."
Cranmore School will host two Open Mornings this year, on September 25 and October 3, allowing parents to tour the facilities and meet pupils and staff - register on their website
