social workers deliver Christmas spirit to Epsom children
A team of 45 Adult Social Care workers in Epsom have shown the spirit of Christmas by coming together to buy a number of gifts for children.
The 65 presents were delivered to the town’s food bank in Ruxley Lane along with 30 chocolate selection boxes and two black bin bags of donated food.
The presents, which will be given to families who use the food bank, included colouring books, rattles, teddy bears, backpacks, footballs and model making kits.
“We are delighted as a team to be able to support such a worthy cause as the food bank and ensure that some of the children get to unwrap a gift this Christmas" said Kim Kurani, Adult Social Care Assistant Practitioner at Surrey County Council.
"We hope the presents we have given will make a difference and raise a few smiles.”
