The National Armed Forces Day shows our support for every member of our armed services, from veterans to cadets. Guildford hosts the celebration this year, for a week of activities from June 22-27
Veterans, cadets, serving troops, reservists, and the families who support them - National Armed Forces Day celebrates all that these men and women do for our country.
This year it's coming to Guildford, where a variety of events will be taking place from June 22.
The real climax, however, comes on June 27. A service at Guildford Cathedral will be followed by an 11:30am parade of hundreds of members from all three forces up Guildford High Street to Stoke Park, which will be full of fun activities and amazing displays until the park closes at 7:30pm.
You don't need any tickets, so come along - see the Red Arrows and Swordfish biplane flypast, the Royal Signals motorbike team, a gymnastic display from the Princess of Wales' royal infantry, listen to live music by the Aldershot Military Wives Choir, From The Jam, military bands and more, and enjoy a host of static displays and good stalls.
It's sure to be a historic event that'll make everyone proud to be in Guildford.
