A man has been sentenced to 12-years imprisonment for leaving a woman with facial injuries and a man with multiple fractures to his face and jaw in Horley last year.
Officers were called to the Court Lodge Estate in Horley at around 9.45am on Thursday, 19 December after a man, now known to be 26-year-old Anthony Alexander Lloyd, forced entry to two properties.
The first assault left a woman in her 40s with serious facial and arm injuries which required hospital treatment. Lloyd then moved on to another property where he assaulted a man in his 30s in his bathroom leaving him with multiple fractures to his face and jaw.
Lloyd left the scene but was arrested by officers a short time later.
“This was a frightening ordeal, not only for the victim, but for the Court Lodge estate as a whole as it took place in broad daylight with many people in the area just going about this normal business in this busy part of Horley" said Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Cath Jenkin.
Lloyd, of West Street in Bognor Regis was found guilty following a week-long trial at Guildford Crown Court in September and was sentenced today (Monday, 20 October).
