A man has been charged following an incident in Redhill where a man suffered puncture wounds.
The incident occurred at around 5.30pm on Wednesday, 10 December on St Anne’s Drive, near to Redhill Railway Station when a man on a scooter approached the victim, a man in his 20s, and demanded his mobile phone.
Nothing was taken in the incident but the victim was taken to St Georges Hospital in Tooting for treatment to his injuries.
Dominic Appau-Kwateng, 21, of Parritt Road in Redhill was charged with GBH. He has been remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Guildford Crown Court on Thursday, 8 January.
A 17-year-old man from Coulsdon who was arrested on Thursday, 11 December on suspicion of robbery has been released with no further action being taken against him.
