It's nomination after nomination for Emma Perfrement, owner of Haslemere High Street’s popular lingerie and swimwear shop, Amazing Grace.
Coinciding with her third year in business, Emma has been nominated in not one but two categories in the prestigious Stars Underlines National Best Shop Award. She was shortlisted for Best Newcomer award in 2011 and recently won the Haslemere Chamber Well-Being, Health and Fitness award for her fund raising work for Breast Cancer Research and first class holistic care for women.
“At Amazing Grace, we are so much more than a pretty bra,” said Emma. “So many women still wear the wrong bra size. It is essential to be in a correct and comfortable size – from helping to eliminate back pain to detecting the first signs of breast cancer. We offer a friendly and discreet service to ladies of all ages and stages – with A-H cup size - from teenagers to Mum’s to be, nursing and post surgery.”
Not content with winning awards, this energetic single mum of two, is raised much needed funds for Breast Cancer Research throughout October, by setting up a “bra bank” where ladies can dispose of their old bras - thus supporting both Breast Cancer Research and Women in Africa.
In addition, Amazing Grace offered a discount of 10% off all bras and matching this amount by donating 10% of the sale to Breast Cancer Research – a charity very close to her heart as her good friend, Elizabeth, sadly died of the disease this year.
“I also attended an advanced course on what would have been Elizabeth’s 50th birthday, where I learnt about specialist bra fitting after mastectomy and the psychological impact of breast cancer.”
