Revive the Great British breakfast to raise vital funds for bereaved children
Every 22 minutes in Britain a child is bereaved of a parent; the most fundamental loss a child will ever face.
Winston’s Wish, the leading charity for bereaved children, is looking for supporters to join in their Great British Brekkie week, which is being held from the 10th – 16th February 2014.
In a bid to raise £30, 000 to support bereaved children, Winston’s Wish is asking everyone who can to join them hosting a charity breakfast in February and revive the tradition of the Great British Breakfast.
This can be anything from a traditional full English and good ol’ cuppa to a champagne and salmon breakfast. It can take place in your home, work, school or anywhere you else you like! The possibilities are endless but they will all set you up for the day and raise vital funds for bereaved children at the same time.
Registration is free, all that is asked is that your guests donate whatever they can.
"We are so pleased to support the Winston’s Wish Great British. Go on, sign up today!” say presenters Richard and Judy, whose favourite breakfast is OJ, breakfast tea, hot croissants, white toast, butter, marmalade, and sliced melon.
Winston’s Wish supporter Julie who took part in the first ever brekkie last year couldn’t recommend it more:
“My children and I hosted a Great British Brekkie event last February,” says Julie.
“Our local Sainsbury's and Ocado supported us along with family and friends in our community. For our event, we chose to indulge our guests with cream cakes and Buck's Fizz! Everyone had a fabulous time and my children and I were thrilled to raise over £800 for Winston's Wish; a fantastic charity very close to our hearts.”
What are you waiting for? Who’s coming to your Brekkie?!
