New Year health goals? Box clever with these nutritious delivery schemes, says Catherine Whyte
Box schemes now come in all colours, shapes and sizes and are a great way to get some balance back into your life and the kitchen. They aren’t limited to just the evening meal – some cover breakfasts, while others focus on healthy snacks. Furthermore, diet-led schemes will micro-manage your food consumption for your entire day, keeping you out of temptation’s way. Lots do free delivery too, if you commit to either a fixed-term or subscription service. Here are some of my favourites:
Nosh Detox
Nosh Detox is a turbo-charged delivery food service with a list of celebrity devotees (Georgia May Jagger is a fan). The creative and varied programmes are tailored to specific needs and for those super serious about a lifestyle change. There’s 5:2 diet plan (from £354), or even a Sugar Detox plan (from £317.46) or – wait for it – the Nosh Red Carpet Cleanse (from £245).

Mindful Chef
One of the UK’s most popular food box schemes supported by Sir Andy Murray and Victoria Pendleton CBE. Choose from a selection of gluten-free, low carb and low calorie recipes that change every week. In no time at all you’ll be preparing beef biriyani with flaked almonds or Goan fish curry with cauli rice. Vegan options also available. Ingredients are sourced from ethical UK suppliers so the planet stays healthy, too. Meals come out at about £7 a portion, though judging by the mountain of positive comments on Trustpilot, it’s a price many people are more than happy to pay.

Pick-and-mix your box of six (£23.95, delivery free for subscribers) from flavour combos such as raspberry and coconut or mango and turmeric breakfast bowls; as well as acai and kale, mint and matcha, or kiwi and bee pollen smoothies.
