Dine on delicious locally-produced treats, nosh on novelties and enjoy al fresco dining at local food festivals near you! Check out our round-up below.

Old Deer Park
21st April 2018
Join Surrey Food Festival, the biggest in the county, at Old Deer Park in Richmond-upon-Thames this April. Local businesses will be showcasing an exquisite range of different food & drink and traders will be demonstrating and selling their products in the marketplace.
There is something to tickle all taste buds from Pimento Paella to L'ombrello's hand-stretched sourdough wood-fired pizza. There will be a kids zone for younger and older children to entertain themselves while you indulge.

Strawberry Fair Food Festival
23-24th June 2018
Celebrate summer at the Strawberry Fair Food Festival. Indulge in the fabulously British tradition of home picked strawberries and real dairy ice cream. Alternatively, enjoy a cool beer with a burger, a pulled pork bun or a hot dog made from the farm's own homemade sausages.
After you've eaten, explore the nature trails on The Discovery Walk and feed the fish with special fish food, or jump on a tractor trailer and take a ride around the beautiful Priory Farm countryside.

Fleet Food Festival

Quench your thirst for culinary knowledge through cookery demonstrations and tasty talks from food and drink experts. Take part in mouthwatering masterclasses and enjoy the flavours of Surrey while your children are entertained by numerous activities.
Enjoy the best of Greek cuisine at The Travelling Glutton or try a hand-crafted ale from Longdog Brewery. With over 75 stallholders celebrating the best in food and drink, there's something for every taste.

Guildford Cheese & Chilli Festival
21st-22nd July 2018
Get lost in the amazing flavours, colours and experiences of the Guildford Cheese and Chilli Festival. There will be quality local, regional and global cheeses to feast on, along with chilli-based products from all over the world.
This year a fantastic inflatable pub from Dorset Mobile Bar and Worley's Cider Bar will be serving a wide selection of ciders and lagers. Entertainments include pig racing, cooking demonstrations and magic shows - and of course there will be a chilli-eating competition to spice up the day.
Alternatively, chill out and listen to a live band whilst sipping on a cool fine ale from a local microbrewery.
Good to know: dogs are welcome at this event as long as they are on leads.

Wokingham Beer, Food and Live Music Festival
Ancient Market, Kingston, KT1 1JS
24th-26th August 2018
The weekend will feature stalls exhibiting some of the most talented artisans in the region, offering a wide range of samples and tasters. Stallholders include Fruityfoods, who produce fantastic award-winning jams, chutneys, marmalades, salad dressings and risottos for the discerning foodie, and there will also be a wide selection of craft beers and perries to enjoy.
Additionally, you'll get the chance to see demonstration sessions and enjoy an excellent line-up of live local music.
It's easy to get hungry when listening to live music, so pop along to the restaurant marquee to feast on culinary creations by Hungry Bhudda (serving great quality and reasonably priced Asian fusion cuisine) or Meat Street BBQ who specialise in true American low 'n' slow BBQ.
Good to know: free entry before midday on Saturday and Sunday only.

For its fifth year, Fantastic British Food Festivals presents Wimbledon Park Food Festival. With 50 stalls offering a wide range of food and drink including artisan bread and pastries, crêpes, cheeses and charcuterie, there's something for everyone.
There will also be a talks and tastings hub with a full programme of great chefs and food experts, as well as plenty of activities to keep the little ones entertained!

BBC Good Food Festival
25th-27th August 2018
For the fifth consecutive year the BBC Good Food Festival will be set within the backdrop and grounds of the stunning Hampton Court Palace. This year you will be able to see some of the UK’s top chefs and culinary experts in live cooking demos, from Michel Roux Jr to Nadiya Hussain, Lisa Faulkner, Melissa Hemlsey and Dr Rupy Aujla.
If you're feeling hungry there'll be lots of tasty options for eating and drinking - from Street Food dishes, ales, gin and tonic and an array of delicious food-to-go snacks from artisan food and drink producers. There is certain to be something to suit all taste buds.
And If you're bringing the kids, they'll have barrels of fun learning new skills at the circus school, having their faces painted, or taking part in a hands-on Tudor cookery session.

Woking Food & Drink Festival

The award-winning Woking Food and Drink Festival is back and with it brings even more great food and drink exhibitors. In 2017, an estimated 100,000 hungry visitors flocked to the festival to meet some of the country’s top celebrity chefs and enjoy the edible delights on offer. With so much entertainment, over 80 diverse and mouth-watering food and drink cuisines spread across the town centre as well as a generous helping of celebrity chef demonstrations, you will undoubtedly leave with a satisfied stomach, some new culinary tips, a smile on your face and a spring in your step.

Syon Park Foodies Festival
26th-28th May 2018
The UK’s biggest food festival returns to Syon Park this year with a fantastic mix of cookery and music. You'll be able to meet Michelin-starred chef Atul Kochhar and watch Great British Bake Off 2017 winner Sophie Waldo baking live. There'll also be a brand new Musicians against Homelessness music stage with top bands The Hoosiers and Toploader performing.
If you're feeling peckish you can feast at over 30 different food stalls, and there's plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained from chilli-eating competitions and cake decorating to face painting for the youngsters.

Haslemere Food Festival

Having run for over a decade now I think it is safe to say that thirteen years of tempting and tantalising our taste buds has turned this festival into a well-established staple in the culinary calendar. After the success of last year's inaugural Pub in the Park, celebrity chef Tom Kerridge and friends return to the picturesque town of Marlow for another feast of great food, drink and music.

There'll also be a host of cooking demonstrations from top chefs such as James Martin and Paul Ainsworth, top quality shopping and great music - so after a day of gorging on gastronomic delights, relax on the lawn with a beverage of your choice and enjoy performances from artists such as jazz maestro Jamie Cullum, ex-Spice Girl Melanie C and rock band Texas.

Alton Beer Festival

Alton Beer Festival has great beer - and food - so you can have a fab time. The festival raises money for local charities while letting visitors sample a vast array of beers and ciders. Whatever your pint of choice, you can rest assured that there will be a brew, or a few, for you! Alton Beer Festival takes place twice a year and 2018’s summer festival will have the Craft Keg Bar serving 9 different chilled beers and lagers at the Leggs' Inn.
