The Fat Duck
High St, Bray, SL6 2AQ“We never take Michelin Stars for granted,” says The Fat Duck head chef Jonny Lake, commenting on the three Michelin Stars they successfully retained from last year.
The Fat Duck is Heston Blumenthal’s prodigy in food theatre, what he considers to be “the first personalised, humanised, restaurant experience” [as quoted in The Guardian].
Dining is a journey; a magical, multi-sensory expedition encouraging play and adventure. You will receive a map rather than a menu before experiencing dishes that range from basic to grandiose, but never at the expense of flavour.
The whole team at The Fat Duck are extremely proud of their latest feat in the 2018 Michelin Guide, says Lake: “Most importantly it means we never stop continuously striving to improve what we’re doing here in Bray.”

Bibendum
Claude Bosi at Bibendum phenomenally picked up two Michelin Stars within three months of opening.
Bosi told London Eater, “I knew we would get one, we got an invitation at the end of August, but I was not expecting two straight away. We’ve been open three months [sic]...I’m French [Michelin] is in my blood. It’s a great start.”
The interior is a clean, contemporary look with an iconic stained glass window. Expect high-end traditional French cooking with creative modern touches; dishes are poised and well-balanced with bold, assured flavours.

The Hand and Flowers
Despite holding the stature of being the only pub in the UK with two Michelin Stars, The Hand and Flowers remains authentic to its patron chef's philosophy – serving quality food in an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming to all.

The Tudor Room at Great Fosters
Situated in Great Fosters Hotel, the dining experience at this restaurant is intimate and elegant, with the heart of the restaurant yielding detail and warmth. An interesting wine list accompanies sophisticated dishes, with knowledgeable staff always at the attendance of diners. A kitchen garden provides many of the ingredients for dishes – completely organic, and as fresh as can be.
A spokesperson from the management said "We are delighted to have maintained our Michelin star."

The Latymer
Under the direction of head chef Matt Worswick, the luxury Pennyhill Park Hotel restaurant has just picked up its first Michelin Star. Worswick joined The Latymer in March 2016 and was recently awarded 4 Rosettes at the AA Hospitality Awards, 2017 for his bold and powerful dishes.
In a space that is both graceful and modern, one can enjoy a menu based around locally sourced ingredients and forgotten cuts of meat. The dishes are simple, but display phenomenal depth and understanding.
“All the team – front and back of house, have worked tirelessly over the past 12 months to raise the standards of hospitality at The Latymer,” said Worswick. “Receiving a Michelin Star is an amazing achievement and the team and I are absolutely over the moon.”

The Clock House
The restaurant benefits from the gracefully timbered interior of a classical Georgian building, charming gardens and a beautiful double-sided clock sitting omnipresent above the door.
The Clock House has garnered high praise for creatively using flavours in a manner that is understated yet imaginative.
“We are glad to have helped put Surrey firmly back on the foodie radar,” says the Clock House head chef Fred Clapperton.

Executive chef Adam Smith of Restaurant Coworth Park has been awarded his first Michelin Star for accomplished, classically-based cooking. The restaurant is based in Dorchester Collection’s luxury country house hotel and spa in the picturesque Berkshire parkland. Chef and landlord of the family run Crown Pub reflected on the recent accolade saying "It's one of the warmest feelings ever!"

The Royal Oak Paley Street
'British food cooked to perfection'. Dishes are made form high quality seasonal produce, sourced locally whenever possible. The food and vibe of the pub is purposefully unpretentious, choosing rather to embrace the flavours of the produce and not disguise them with unfamiliar ingredients and complicated cooking methods. The result - deliciously tasty food; scraping the plate is encouraged.

Former lawyer turned chef, Mikael Jonsson runs an innovative restaurant using the freshest of produce. Effort is expended in finding unique ingredients and using them in ways that result in interesting dishes. The menus often change spontaneously depending on individual variances of the produce. La Trompette opened in 2001 and has received many accolades since. The team invest care, dedication and energy to serve quality food, but without the formality or prices associated with other Michelin Star restaurants.
