Chocolate Week (13-19 Oct) sees the Launch of a Host of Chocolate Experiences in the Riverside Town of Kingston that will Keep Visitors Sweet, right up to Christmas
Kingston upon Thames is inviting visitors to indulge themselves on a chocolate-themed mini-break between now and the end of December.
Coinciding with Chocolate Week (13 – 19 October 2014), Kingston has launched a selection box of chocolate-themed experiences for visitors to enjoy from now until the end of the year. From a “Chocolate package” at the luxurious Warren House to chocolate tastings, a chocolate-themed spa treatment and specialty cocktails, visitors to Kingston will be seeing the year out on a sugar high.

The ideal venue for an indulgent escape in Kingston is the historic, Warren House. The stately home has launched a “Chocolate Package” for Chocolate Week available from 13 October until 31 December 2014, subject to availability. The limited edition package includes: overnight accommodation in one of Warren House’s 46 uniquely decorated bedrooms, afternoon tea, featuring a delicious array of finger sandwiches, chocolate treats and chocolate dipped strawberries, breakfast and a copy of The Warren House Tales to take home. Chocolate Martini at Las Iguanas
Lively South America restaurant and bar, Las Iguanas is delivering heaven in a glass for Chocolate Week and beyond with its new “Chocolate Martini”. The cocktail is a delectable combo of creme de cacao, kahlua, vodka, condensed milk and dulce de leche sauce with a dusting of chocolate powder to complete the treat.

Chocolate Tasting at Montezuma’s
Montezuma’s in Kingston offers chocolate tasting experiences throughout October and November 2014. There are various “Indulgence Evenings” to choose from with prices starting from £12 per person, including a glass of Prosecco. Guests learn how to taste chocolate properly and can try around eight different chocolates. The tastings take place in the evening and are based on a minimum of ten guests.

Chocolate Scrub at LUSH Spa
The LUSH Spa in Kingston is offering “The Comforter” a delicious full body treatment with a chocolate-y twist! Clients are tucked up in a cosy duvet and coated with a hot chocolate exfoliating body scrub and rose-scented massage, which leaves the skin deeply nourished and the guest rejuvenated. LUSH Spa will also be making a fresh chocolate face mask that will be distributed in little pots for customers to take home between 11am and midday on 18 and 19 October 2014.

Royal Chocolate Kitchen at Hampton Court Palace
Not to be missed is a visit to nearby Hampton Court Palace’s chocolate kitchen, which opened for the first time in 300 years, earlier this year. The kitchen, which once catered for three Kings: William III, George I and George II, is the only surviving royal chocolate kitchen in the country and is remarkably well preserved.
