Wimbledon Gin Fest

The UK's biggest outdoor gin festival is coming to Wimbledon for the very first time. Set in the grounds of Wimbledon Park, the event offers a whopping 250 premium and craft gins to try.
Local produce is at the heart of the offering, alongside international gins with food pairing options. There's also artisan food, local craft beer, and gin demonstrations galore, plus a main stage with live entertainment all day.

This long weekend of deliciousness and dancing at Chiswick House and Gardens is one of my faves.
Feast on top-notch food from the likes of Tom Kerridge's The Hand & Flowers, Angela Hartnett's Café Murano, Brindisa, Rick Stein and more, plus chef demos, masterclasses and fire pit cooking. There's a great live music line-up too.

Surrey Chilli Festival

Prepare to feel the heat at Walton-on-Thames Cricket Club with a selection of food stalls brimming with chilli-infused dishes. There's also a selection of 'non chilli-fied' treats, as well as live music, comedy and a kid's zone.

Bacchus Half Marathon and 10K

Wine and exercise combine in delicious harmony at Denbies near Dorking.
Race across the vineyard and you'll be treated to a selection of up to six Denbies award-winning English wines along the way with matching foods at several drinks stations dotted throughout the course, followed by more food and drinks at the post-race hog roast.
No prizes for speed, but fancy dress will be rewarded. Friends, family and supporters welcome.

There's fun for foodies at Wimbledon's impressive five-day literature festival, including an appearance from wine buff Oz Clarke, who's hosting a tasting and talk on English wines (23 September, 8 pm, £27.50).
John Wright, author of The Forager's Calendar, will be leading foraging walks across Wimbledon Common (25 September, 10.30 am & 2.30 pm, £25) and you can hear from Sam and Sam Clark, the husband-and-wife team behind the highly acclaimed Moro and Mojito restaurants on 24 September (6.30 pm, £30).
