Reasonably priced, freshly sourced food is all prepared on-site and with real ales and great wines, it's the perfect place to end your leisurely amble.
Although it can be busy and is modest in size, service is reputedly attentive and quick and particular praise goes to the apple crumble!

The Alfred Freehouse
Welcoming a loyal local crowd as well as new faces, The Alfred Freehouse is perfect for any occasion, whether it's a relaxing drink after work or beautiful dining experience.
Built in the 1850s when the army came to Aldershot, this brewhouse was originally named Prince Alfred after Queen Victoria’s second son who had accompanied her on a visit to Farnham Castle in 1857.
Serving beer, cheese, bread and minerals, and with 6 horse stables, it was a venture for the local labouring class.
If it's a beer you're looking for, then The Alfred is the ideal pub having featured in the Good Beer Guide for the last seven years as well as holding two annual beer festivals in May and October.
The Alfred is also keen to engage in the community in other ways as well as eating and drinking. A variety of events offered include Jam nights, murder mystery evenings, car rallies, Morris Dancing performances, charity evenings, music nights and festivals. There's even a golf society!

The Mulberry

With the largest beer garden in central Farnham which is split into three levels and can seat 300 and a large screen television outdoors, this is the ideal spot to spend an evening.
With a bright, open bar and a shabby-chic décor sourced from local antique shops, they welcome families and children during the day and have a children's menu and highchairs available on request.
The Mulberry also offers a fantastic menu of Gourmet burgers and for the brave few the "Mulberry Challenge", which will win you an "I conquered the Mulberry Challenge" T-shirt if you are man or woman enough to clean the plate!
The Mulberry has a fantastic programme of live music, with bands and DJs from Wednesday through to Saturday night. There is a late licence until 1 am on Friday and Saturday and a back room which can be reserved for parties.

The Queen's Head
In 1735, The Queen’s Head was a coffee shop, serving travellers between London and Southampton while their horses were changed.
One of the best places to catch live music in Farnham, The Queen's Head now has gigs every Sunday and open mic nights twice monthly. There's also an interesting range of drinks on offer including an innovative teapot cocktail.
You'll also find The Queen's Head to be the winner of a range of awards including the Griffon Trophy Outstanding Achievement Award in 2010.
