Ryan Young, virtuoso Scottish fiddler

Scottish fiddler, Ryan Young, was described as having “simply jaw-dropping” technical ability by TradFolk, and his latest album was awarded 5 stars by The Scotsman. Recognised as having “the potential to make a very significant contribution to the Scottish tradition” by legendary Irish fiddler Martin Hayes, this concert gives audiences a chance to hear Ryan’s expressive playing in the wonderful acoustics of Guildford’s oldest church. Ryan will be teaching a workshop for fiddle players at 2:30 in the afternoon before performing at 7:30 in the evening, accompanied by talented young guitarist Gillie O’Flaherty.
