Over the past years Jack Savoretti has taken the male singer songwriter genre in a direction entirely of his own. As he has evolved from the guitar picking troubadour that caught the attention of Hollywood’s music supervision community early on in his career to more recently the chart-topping arena selling crooner, he manages to avoid every pigeon-hole thrown in his direction. Now with his 8th album ‘Miss Italia’ he continues to forge this singular path. While few artists mange to make an 8th album, even less do so in a different language and to such critical acclaim. In the words of The Times, ‘Jack sounds like an Italian Joe Cocker.’
For an artist who has been making and sold millions of albums for over sixteen years, Jack’s reputation as a singer-songwriter is perfectly epitomised by the kinds of collaborators he attracts, previously including cultural icons the likes of Bob Dylan, Kylie Minogue, Shania Twain, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Nile Rodgers among many others. Now, Miss Italia begins a new chapter in this distinguished career.
