A man in his eighties has today (Friday, 8 August) pleaded not guilty to murder in connection with the deaths of two women in Farnham.
It is alleged that puppy farmer John Lowe, 82, of Tilford in Farnham, shot dead his partner Christine Lee, 66, and her daughter Lucy Lee, 40, at his dog breeding farm earlier this year.
He is also said to have shot four dogs, a Labrador and three German Shepherds.
Officers were called to an address off Crooksbury Road shortly before 10am on Sunday, 23 February following reports that a firearm had been discharged at the property and discovered the bodies of two women and four dogs.
Today, Lowe denied two counts of murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life during a plea and case management hearing at The Old Bailey in London this morning.
Mr Lowe is due to stand trial at Guildford Crown Court on October 6.
