Cafe Mila
1 Angel Court, Godalming, GU7 1DT
Cafe Mila is a culinary gem located right in the heart of Godalming. It welcomes everyone from adults to children and even dogs! Complete with its own yoga studio, the cafe provides a chilled atmosphere with lots of healthy but delicious treats on offer. It also boasts winning a Tripadvisor certificate of excellence for the past 3 years and for good reason.
Yoga classes are highly recommended and easily accessible to everyone of all ages at just £12 for an hour-long drop-in session. You may be thinking to yourself that brunch is about being lazy, so why on earth would you want to wake up at 8 am to put on your gym clothes and waste a whole 60 minutes of your life stretching? The answer is simple: To feel good. As stupid as that may sound, after some yoga, you will feel refreshed and ready to refuel your body guilt-free with their large selection of scrumptious food, from smashed avocado on sourdough (£4.95) to a proper full English (£9.50).
Must-try dish: Porridge jumbo oats with 2 toppings of your choice (£4.25). Occasionally it's quite nice to give the thick, fattening and unhealthy pancakes with extra bacon on top (as tempting as that sounds) a break because I promise that this simple, feel-good bowl of happiness will satisfy you just as much as that lump of pancakes. You can leave Mila feeling radiant with fresh juice in hand like the Mega Detox: Apple, carrot, ginger, celery, cucumber (£3.80).

The Hothouse Cafe
Within the stunning Cobham, Medicine Garden sits a renovated Victorian hothouse always full of families ready to get their hands on a delectable brunch. When the sun is shining, there is outdoor seating available so you can let the kids run free outside whilst the food is being prepared. When the weather decides it wants to be grey miserable and just generally more British, the indoor seating is also lovely with the large panels of glass in the greenhouse ensuring plenty of daylight. Don't forget to enjoy a stroll around these magnificent gardens to soak in the view whilst trying frantically to burn off the calories you've just consumed from a punchy brunching session.
Must-try dish: Full Breakfast – Surrey sausage wrapped in bacon, yes you heard me WRAPPED IN BACON, with scrambled egg, roasted tomato, mushrooms and toasted ciabatta (£9.00). This dish is certainly a bargain for your money and is absolutely delicious. The famous "surrey sausage" is by far the star of the dish and is treated like an A-list celebrity in this little cafe, well if the way you treat an A-list celebrity is to wrap it in bacon...

If you have any spare room, afternoon tea here also looks amazing with stunningly displayed cakes and a range of Twinings teas to choose from.

Chiquito
Chiquito has become locally famous for its vibrant and laid-back fiesta vibe dining. This restaurant provides a quirky and cultural Mexican-style brunch for its visitors complete with everything Tex Mex – from sombrero hats to a mariachi band. It is located in the atrium shopping centre making it easily accessible and a fun day trip out as there are shops and a cinema to enjoy after your meal. If you fancy a brunch that is a bit out of the ordinary, this is the perfect place for you, Arriba!
Must-try dish: An oven-baked flour tortilla filled with pork & leek sausage, bacon, scrambled egg, baked beans, hash brown and Mexican spiced rice. Served with roasted cherry tomatoes and home-made salsa (£6.95). This is basically the ultimate breakfast all wrapped up in a tortilla to make an incredibly tasty flavour bomb to be enjoyed by yourself, and when I say yourself, I mean only yourself. I can assure you this is not a meal you will want to be sharing.

Thyme by the River
The name probably gives away the best feature of this brunch spot. Being 'by the river' whilst munching away on some eggs and bacon is sheer paradise (it does also help if its sunny of course). The picturesque wooden picnic benches lining the deck by the riverside make it a fun and enjoyable family atmosphere, as does the landward side of the café which includes East Molesey Cricket Club. Watching boats, rowers and birds float by whilst awaiting your food is a real treat, and on a hot summer's day, it's always fun to enjoy a spot of Pimms and cricket.
Must-try dish: Cricketer’s Breakfast; 2 Sausage, 2 Tomato, 2 Bacon, 2 Eggs, Mushrooms & Beans on Toast (£8.25) This is a massive classic full English breakfast, which is perhaps why it's meant for cricketers who will easily burn off the mass calories in this magnificent meal, unlike you and I! However, if you can't stomach this monster of a meal, there is the option to half the portion (£5.95).

G!RO Cafe
Coffee. Cycle. Culture. Looking for a trendy buzzing cafe? G!ro is the answer. Located at the end of Esher high street, it's a popular stop off destination for cycling enthusiasts. Don't let this put you off though, it's also a perfect cafe for those who don't drool over the sight of a helmet signed by Bradley Wiggins and middle-aged men wearing full lycra. The furniture inside combines bold, funky colours and textures to create a lively, modern and upbeat atmosphere. There are super high-tech bikes mounted on the wall thinner than you can imagine and for sale too if you happen to have a spare £2,000 change from your coffee.
Must-try dish: Toasted banana bread with honeyed yoghurt (£4.50). It's sweet and healthy, what more could you ask for? Well bacon, you could totally ask for bacon.
